7 ‘ minds ‘ of Leviathan, deception & the Statue of Liberty

The other night, I saw a face in a red glow in the sky with the same 7 spiked crown thing around its head like the statue of liberty, and felt like God was telling me it was Leviathan.

So I told a friend of mine since about a week ago she shared her story about an experience God took her through regarding that same spirit.

She suggested I read Revelations 12 so I did. In verse 3, it describes the beast as a (serpent, dragon or crocodile) with 7 heads.  There are many pictures that try to illustrate this, but the Holy Spirit whispered into my spirit to think of it as a creature with 7 MINDS.

This corresponds exactly with what God revealed to me a few months ago, when He profiled to me 7 demonic strongmen.*  Pride sits at the very top, dominating in rank. Leviathan is the monster created when all 7 strongmen are engaged in a deliberate, cooperative union that contemptuously opposes God as well as submission to any godly authority.  And each head (or mind!) of Leviathan representing one of the seven continents with their corresponding dominant idol.

The Lord keeps showing me crocodiles with their mouths open in the sky lately, I didn’t understand what it meant till now. (Crocodile: Leviathan: pride; mouths open = words/spirit being released).  This verse explains it well:

“There is a generation whose teeth are swords, whose fangs are knives, devouring the oppressed from the land and the needy from among mankind” (Prov. 30:14).

I can definitely say I’ve witnessed a lot of vicious criticism and heard many people cutting other people down, reducing them to nothing with their words. No mercy.  It almost sends a chill right through me.  “The power of life and death are in the tongue” (Proverbs ).  If you’ve ever verbalized your faith in God in a room full of secular humanists, you most likely have experienced this firsthand.

“A hateful person disguises himself with his speech and harbors deceit within. When he speaks graciously, don’t believe him, for there are seven abominations in his heart” (Proverbs 26:24-5).  I wonder if people are starting to get this image clearly in their heads yet, that the devil tends to disguise himself as a very relatable, non-threatening character.  Even a very well-mannered one!  (Has the devil ever worn YOU as a mask??!)  Every time we open our mouths, we either let Jesus out, or let the devil out.  Our words are either full of life, or void of life!

God alone is the giver of life.  This Life is transmitted to us through His Word.  Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy.  But since we’ve been given authority over him in Christ, he can only get away with what we allow to continue.  That is, we have to entertain his cleverly disguised words long enough for them to seep down into the soil of our hearts, pollute our speech (pulling us out of agreement with God) and separate us from Him.  This separation from our Power Source ultimately strips us of our our God-given authority!

The word roots of deceive are ‘de-‘ (away) and ‘ceive’ (take, seize).

There was no physical act that caused Mary to become pregnant with Jesus, but she conceived when she RECEIVED the Word that the angel spoke to her who said,

“You will be with child and give birth to a son. You are to name him Jesus, and He will be called the Son of God.”

Then Mary said, “Be it unto me according to your word.”  (The Word conceived!)

The devil seeks to DE-CEIVE us and cause an abortion in our spiritual womb, sabotaging God’s plan for good in our lives!  He wants to choke out the Holy Spirit and instead fill our MINDS with all kinds of clever deception which never satisfy but leave us wanting more and more.  So unless we call on God to rescue us, and take on a new ‘MIND’ which produces life in our spirit, and brings life into the rest of our being, we will continue on that hamster wheel until we are destroyed.

So let’s consider the symbolism of the crocodile for a moment.  Egyptian gods are sometimes shown with a crocodile head. The crocodile symbol can mean either good or evil, depending on cultural interpretation.  In the same way, the Statue of Liberty contains many ambiguous symbols.  (The interpretation depends on which MIND you are thinking with!)  We are taught in school that it represents liberty/freedom.  Meanwhile, the Bible teaches that Satan comes dressed as “wolf in sheep’s clothing” primarily using DECEPTION as a means to lure, so I think one thing the Lord may be revealing here is that the devil’s counterfeit version of perfection (symbolized by the number 7) is the “perfect” union of all the world’s religions in an organized rebellion against the God of all creation.

Now, more than ever, it is evident to me how critical it is to walk in holiness and in complete submission to God, led by none other than the Holy Spirit.

“For if we say, ‘We have fellowship with Him,’ yet we are walking in darkness, we are lying and are not practicing the truth.  But if we walk in the Light, as He is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the Blood of Jesus, the Son of God, continually cleanses us from all sins.”

What blessed assurance it is, to know that any time we sin and fall short of the glory of God, we can cry out to Jesus on His mercy seat, and His blood redeems us once again!
